Outreach and community matters.
In late April, Binar Futures took their team of incredible young leaders out to Bunbury to deliver a FREE one-day clinic in the hope of engaging and empowering Aboriginal youth.
What started as an initiative to support 90 kids, turned into something truly remarkable. Our young leaders ended up facilitating a basketball clinic for an astonishing 160 participants aged 5 – 17.
The impact of Binar’s clinic extended beyond basketball skills. Our Binar kids had the opportunity to meet and connect with youth from the Bunbury community, forming new friendships and building meaningful relationships. It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves, swimming and eating pizza together for dinner. It was a true celebration of unity and coming together as one.
The excitement didn’t stop there! Our Binar leaders went on to assist Kandice Hart from Bunbury Allstars to deliver an unforgettable two-day basketball tournament, where over 180 players were involved. The talent and skill on display was spectacular, but what truly stood out was the sportsmanship and the sense of togetherness among all the participants. It was a testament to the power of sport bringing people together.
